How do you price payroll services?

Looking for a payroll service or provider for your trucking company can be an overwhelming and confusing task. Not only do you have an endless amount of companies to choose from, but once you get the quotes, it’s hard to compare your options. The reason being is almost every payroll company prices things differently. Some price everything as a la carte, some a base fee with some services with add-ons you will surely need, and so on. And while all the ways we are different so are the reasons why.
 
We believe in being transparent when it comes to our services. That means not only will we tell you the price before you speak to anyone in the office we will also tell you why we structured our pricing the way we did. Let’s get into it!

We make our pricing simple

We believe that people like simplicity, especially when it comes to pricing. The choice between a complicated formula that you have to decipher to find out how much your payroll costs and one clear number is a pretty easy one. We have often found other payroll services will have line item pricing for garnishments, tax filing, 401k, W-2s, etc… We have even seen additional pricing for paper checks or a second direct deposit account for an employee.
 
This way of pricing isn’t how we like to do business. You have enough to worry about in trucking. You don’t need to be getting out the crystal ball to predict an accurate cost for payroll on top of everything else.
We bake it all into the rate so you can easily see what you will pay. Our base fee starts at $45 a week for up to two payees. It doesn’t matter if they are 1099, W2, or a combination. Still $45 a week. It doesn’t matter if they have one direct deposit account each or five. Still $45 a week. They could be paid a salary every week, hourly, by the mile, load, percent of the load, per trip, or any and all combinations. You guessed it, still $45 a week.

Side note: If W2s & or 1099s are not included as part of your payroll package be sure to check the W-2/1099 count in the quote. We’ve seen a company with 40 employees get quoted a rate for 40 W-2’s. You and I know that zero turnover in a year is not realistic, and so did the payroll service. Not to mention trucking has a much higher turnover rate. This is often done to give you the appearance of a lower fee. Fees may look higher or lower than other quotes at first glance but little things like that can make a big difference. 

No surprises in our pricing

When was the last time you were surprised by the final price of something? It happens all the time. Failing to help clients understand what they will pay is the beginning of a bad customer experience and we are here to help you, not confuse you.
 
Our pricing model is set up to be easy to understand and give you peace of mind because you know exactly what you’ll pay. As I said before are base price starts at $40 a week for up to two payees. Any additional payee over that two is an extra $5 per week, making paying three payees $45 a week.
There are only a very fews things that are not always included in the base rate.

State Tax Set-Up:
 
If you set up state taxes when
you sign up for our payroll services, no fee’s will accrue
 
If you add an additional state, the fee is $50 per state
 
If you need to discontinue a state, the fee is $100 per state
