National Payroll Providers: When They’re a Better Fit for Your Trucking Company

National Payroll Providers: When They're a Better Fit for Your Trucking Company

As much as we hate to admit it, sometimes a National Payroll Provider such as ADP, Paychex, or Gusto, may be a better fit for your trucking company.

Because we want to help trucking families make informed business decisions, we strive to be as transparent as possible about which payroll provider is going to be the best fit for your business.

Below are some instances of when a National Payroll Provider may be a better fit:

When you have locations in multiple countries all paying under one Federal ID Number.

We can only work with companies who are based in the United States, so in this case ADP or Paychex would be a better fit for your trucking company.

If you're aware of payroll laws that you might encounter and price is the only thing that matters.

Part of our services is expertise in trucking payroll, which includes advice on payroll laws as well as recommendations for how to better run your trucking business. If you don’t need these services and your only priority is finding the lowest cost provider, Gusto or Intuit payroll would be a better solution for you.

If you need to pick up paper checks, or other documents, because email won't work for your company

If you often have supplemental payrolls that require paper checks, and need to pick them up from your payroll service’s office. We are located in Grand Rapids, MI, so if you are located somewhere else, you would be better served with a payroll provider that is local. We know of a lot of payroll services throughout the United States and would be happy to refer you.

If you are unsure if we are the right fit for you, reach out, we will be happy to talk with you and learn your company’s needs.
