Payroll for Trucking Companies: We Help Your Whole Trucking Family Get Paid
If you’ve heard of Superior Trucking Payroll Service, you’ve probably heard us talk a lot about how we know trucking and how to pay truck drivers. And for good reason—most payroll companies don’t understand the unique pay setups in trucking. We do – and we make it easy for you and your drivers.
But because we focus on driver pay, some folks call us and ask:
“Can you pay my other employees too?”
We get why that question comes up. We’ve built our name by solving the payroll headaches that come with paying drivers the right way—things like mileage pay and per diem payments. That’s what sets us apart from the national brands that don’t know a truck from a trailer. So, let’s clear it up right now:
Yes, we can pay your whole team—office staff, dispatchers, shop techs, warehouse staff, and even 1099 contractors—right alongside your drivers. In this article, we’ll show you who we can pay, why it matters, and how working with a payroll service built just for trucking makes your life easier.
Who Can Be Paid Through a Trucking Payroll Service?
When we say we help your whole trucking family get paid, we mean it. Drivers might be the most visible part of your operation, but they’re not the only ones keeping the wheels turning. Let’s talk about the other roles we can pay through our system.
Office Staff (Customer Service, Billing, Admin)
Your front office keeps your business moving. From handling paperwork to calling customers, these folks are vital. We make it easy to pay them correctly and on time—just like we do for drivers.
Dispatchers and Salespeople
Your dispatchers are the ones juggling schedules and matching loads to drivers. Salespeople are out there hunting down freight and making deals. Both are key to your operation—and we help you pay them with no added hassle.
Shop, Maintenance, and Warehouse Employees
If your business includes shop workers, mechanics, or warehouse teams, we’ve got you covered. Whether they fix your trucks, load freight, or handle parts, they’re part of your family. They deserve the same smooth payroll service as everyone else.
Owner-Operators and 1099 Contractors
Do you use owner-operators or independent contractors? We can handle them too.
We’re set up to pay both W-2 employees and 1099 contractors at the same time. That way, you don’t need two systems—or worse, try to figure it out on your own. We’ll take care of the pay, and we’ll even help with 1099 filings at the end of the year.
Now that you know who we can pay, let’s talk about why it matters to work with a payroll company that understands how trucking really works—because not all payroll providers are built the same.
Why It Matters to Work With a Trucking-Specialized Payroll Service
You have a lot of choices when it comes to payroll. But if you’re in trucking, a regular payroll company may not cut it. Trucking has unique rules, pay structures, and challenges—and you need a partner who understands all of it, not just the basics.
National Payroll Companies Often Miss the Mark
Big-Box payroll brands might work fine for office jobs—but they don’t get trucking. Things like per diem payments, split pay, mileage, deadhead, or detention confuse them. This leads to mistakes, late pay, and frustrated drivers. We understand. Our company was born because we saw how bad it could get.
We Understand the Whole Trucking Operation
At Superior Trucking Payroll, we know every part of your team matters. From the folks behind the wheel to the ones behind the desk, everyone plays a role. That’s why we built a system to pay your whole crew the right way, with trucking in mind from top to bottom.
One System for W2s and 1099s
If your business includes shop workers, mechanics, or warehouse teams, we’ve got you covered. Whether they fix your trucks, load freight, or handle parts, they’re part of your family. They deserve the same smooth payroll service as everyone else.
Owner-Operators and 1099 Contractors
Why juggle two systems when you can use one? We handle W-2s for your employees and 1099s for your contractors. It’s all done together, on time, and with trucking know-how built-in.
That’s why we built Superior Trucking Payroll Service around one big goal: to help the entire trucking family—not just the drivers—get paid right, every time. Let’s take a closer look at what that means to us.
