Top 5 Reasons Why Trucking Companies Choose Roll By ADP
Have you ever wondered why so many trucking companies settle for payroll providers like Roll By ADP?
Does it feel like you’re stuck with a system that doesn’t truly work for your business, but you’re unsure of what else is out there?
The truth is, many trucking companies choose big-name payroll providers because they think there are no better options. They hear promises about “automation” and “affordability” but end up frustrated with cookie-cutter systems that don’t meet their needs. Worse, when problems arise, they’re left to solve them on their own.
But here’s the good news: there’s a better way. At Superior Trucking Payroll Service, we’re proud to be the only U.S.-based payroll service designed specifically for trucking companies. We understand your industry and its unique challenges, and we’re here to help.
In this article, we’ll explain why trucking companies often choose Roll By ADP, why it doesn’t work for many, and how a better payroll solution can make your business stronger and less stressful.
Self-Service Automation: The Reality Behind Roll By ADP’s Promises
Roll By ADP promises “easy automation,” making it sound like your payroll will run itself. But what they don’t tell you is that this automation requires you to do the heavy lifting. When it’s time to run payroll, you’re the one inputting the data, fixing mistakes, and figuring out how to navigate their system.
When something goes wrong? You’re stuck with chatbots or hours on hold waiting for a customer service rep who has no idea how trucking payroll works.
The Frustration: Why should trucking companies have to pay for a service that doesn’t serve them? You work hard; your payroll provider should, too.
Big Names Like ADP Rely on Reputation, Not Industry Expertise
ADP is one of the biggest payroll companies in the world. They’ve built a reputation as the “safe choice” because they’ve been around for a long time. Many trucking companies feel like they have no choice but to pick a big name. What could possibly go wrong with a national name provider?
Here’s the problem: ADP doesn’t know trucking, and their software was never intended to serve the trucking industry. To them, your company is just another number on a spreadsheet (quota and revenue). They don’t care about your unique needs, your drivers, or the challenges of your industry.
The Frustration: You’re more than just a number! Trucking companies deserve a payroll partner who understands their struggles and cares about their success.
Why Technology Alone Can’t Replace Personalized Support in Payroll
Roll By ADP loves to advertise its mobile app. Sure, tech can be convenient, but what happens when the app doesn’t work? What happens when your payroll gets messed up or you have a question about mileage-based pay?
The answer: nothing happens. You’re left on your own to figure it out. A chatbot can’t understand your problem. An app won’t sit down with you to find a solution. You deserve more than tech—you deserve real help from real people.
The Frustration: The trucking industry is all about human relationships. Why should your payroll service be any different? A chatbot doesn’t care about your business, but a real person will.
Why Roll By ADP’s Costs Are Misleading for Trucking Companies
ADP markets itself as affordable, but let’s be honest—when has a big corporation ever been upfront about costs? Between hidden fees, surprise charges, and one-size-fits-all pricing, you’re often paying for features you don’t need while missing out on the ones you do.
For trucking companies, payroll isn’t just about cutting checks. You need a system that handles payroll tax compliance, per diem payments, and multiple pay structures. That level of care and attention can’t come from a cookie-cutter solution. And what happens when you get a tax notice?
The Frustration: You deserve transparency and value. Why settle for a solution that doesn’t deliver what you actually need?
How Big Payroll Providers Keep Trucking Companies Feeling Stuck
This might be the most frustrating reason of all. Big-box payroll companies like ADP have been around so long they’ve convinced everyone they’re the only choice. A quick online search often leads you to a page on ADP’s website labeled “Transportation” or “Trucking.” Naturally, you think, “Great, they understand my industry and can help me!”
The reality is far from it.They’ve labelled their solutions as industry specific, but in reality being an expert in an industry goes well beyond knowing which keywords to put on a webpage. Trucking is a complex industry that needs complex support at times. You’re unlikely to get that support when the people working your account don’t know or understand trucking.
The Frustration: The truth is a better option does exist. You don’t have to settle for being ignored or paying for a system that doesn’t work for you. There is a payroll service designed specifically for trucking companies, a service that puts your needs first. Superior Trucking Payroll Service believes you deserve a payroll partner who knows trucking and treats your business like it matters.
